Making Documentary Project # 1

This was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. It took me hours just to think of enough good interview questions and I only ended up using half of them in my final edited proof. It was also difficult to focus on an issue and edit the information and have it reveal this issue. I have a new found respect for Terkel, because I don't know how he did hundreds of these interviews and turned them all into coherent narratives and then have an over arching theme that is connected throughout several stories. Overall, it was fun to do, especially since I was able to find out somethings about my grandfather and his life that I never knew before.
